Install BumbleCrawl
Download the app for Windows or macOS, start it for the first time and activate Pro if you have a licence.
What you need
- Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), or macOS 12 or later on Apple Silicon or Intel.
- An internet connection to crawl. Your crawls are saved on your computer, so plan some disk space for large sites: a crawl of 20,000 URLs takes about 25 MB.
- No account. BumbleCrawl doesn't ask you to sign up, and nothing you crawl is uploaded.
Download and install
- Open the download page. It offers the installer for your system; the other platforms are listed below it.
- Windows: run BumbleCrawl-…-x64.exe and follow the installer. You can choose the installation folder. The installer is signed, so Windows shows Sebastian Kraus as the publisher.
- macOS: open the .dmg file and drag BumbleCrawl into Applications. Take the Apple Silicon build for M1 Macs and newer, the Intel build for older Macs. The app is notarized by Apple and opens without warnings.
- Start BumbleCrawl. It opens on an empty window, ready for your first crawl.
Updates
BumbleCrawl checks for new versions when it starts and shows a short note when an update is ready. You can also check yourself with Help›Check for updates, and switch automatic checks off in File›Settings…. The changelog lists what each version changed.
Free and Pro
The free version has every feature and crawls up to 500 URLs per crawl. When a crawl reaches the limit it stops, and everything crawled so far is checked as usual. Pro removes the limit; it's a one-time purchase, see pricing.
- After buying Pro, you receive your licence key by email.
- In BumbleCrawl, open File›Settings… and choose Licence.
- Paste the key and click Activate. The limit is gone right away, also for crawls you resume.
Each licence works on a set number of computers. To move it, choose Remove licence from this computer on the old one first. Your keys and invoices are in the customer portal linked from the same page.
